Laser Hair Removal with Pulsar IPL
Here at sundays we like to offer the most uptodate advanced treatments and we are pleased to introduce IPL hair removal. Hair-free and smooth skin needn't be a pain. Pulsar IPL delivers safe bursts of light which are absorbed by the melanin in your hair, destroying the follicle from the root with minimum discomfort and no side effects. Results are effective, longlasting, quick and virtually pain free and clinically safe.
Only hair in the growth stage can be treated. The number of hairs in this stage varies from 10-70% depending on the body site. For most patients anything between 4-7 treatments are enough with two to three months interval are sufficient to remove virtually all hairs.
The visible light is safe. The skin of some patients becomes quite red immediately after the treatment and rarely small blisters as from excessive sun exposure can occour. However most patients experience no side effects at all.
As the light energy os absorbed by the pigments the pain depends upon the concentration of melanin in the epidermis and the hairs combined. Consequently it hurs more in dark skinned people and those with dense, dark hairs.
Dark Hairs are most easily treated due to the large concentration of melanin.
Very Fair hair has less melanin so consequently less heat is produced making it slightly less certain of permanent destruction of the hair follicles.
Grey(white) hair has almost no melanin so can not be treated.
A test patch should be preformed at least 24hrs prior to treatment. Hairs should be 1 to 2mm long when comming in for treatment. Hair is trimmed just before treatment for maximum transmission as long hairs take up all the energy. Plucking and bleaching should not be done. Avoid epilation,tanning and waxing 4 weeks before treatment. Also avoid using false tan upto 1 week before treatment.
