At Sundays, our mission is to provide you with the best environment to gain a deep, long-lasting, safe tan. Therefore, we have compiled the
following four-point guide to help you get the most out of our tanning equipment.
If you need any more advice regarding safe tanning, please feel free to contact us at any time.
1. General Tanning Safety Recommendations
Sunbeds are designed to offer a safer and more controlled tanning environment than natural sunlight but, as with exposure to natural sunlight,
ultraviolet light may pose a risk to certain people. If you are on the following precautionary list you should seek the
advice of your doctor before using any tanning equipment:
Anyone under 16 years of age
Anyone taking medicines or drugs which increase sensitivity to UV light, such as:
Antibiotics
Analgesics
Medication for blood pressure
Diuretics
Some contraceptive pills
Anti-malarials
Anti-depressants
Psoralens
Eosins
Anyone with a medical condition that becomes worse in sunlight
Anyone with fair, sensitive skin, burns easily and does not tan in sunlight
Anyone with a large number of freckles and/or moles
Anyone who has, or has had, skin cancer or anyone where a member of their immediate family has had skin cancer
Anyone with a history of sunburn, especially in childhood
It is recommended that you do not exceed 60 sessions per year
